Söğütlüçeşme Viaduct

The Söğütlüçeşme Viaduct is located in Istanbul and the first pre-tensioned reinforced concrete railway bridge in Turkey. A total of 72 pre-tension concrete beams were used to support 4 railway tracks. Majority of the foundations were constructed as deep foundations with precast piles while a total of 1,436 piles having 37 m of length each were driven within the scope of works. The station platform section was based on 168 pre-tensioned platform beams each weighing 20-30 tons and measuring 25 m long.
