Management of Global Compact Turkey appointed

The Local Network of Global Compact Turkey appointed the new board of directors in the general assembly meeting. New board will represent UN Global Compact Local Network of Turkey for the period of 2013-2016. According to Global Compact Turkey, representatives of Akkök, Anadolu Efes, Arge Danışmanlık, Bilim İlaç, Borusan Holding, Coca Cola İçecek, Doğuş Otomotiv, Borsa İstanbul, Koç Holding, Sabancı Holding, TSKB, Yüksel Holding, Zed, Zorlu Holding; and additionally TİSK and TUSİAD as secretaries were elected for the board. Yılmaz Argüden, from the ARGE Danışmanlık –the first company signed UN global Compact from Turkey- was elected for the presidency of the Local Network Board. The new board will aim to strengthen local network activities, represent Turkey in international dimensions and enhance current activities of the members as its primary targets. The membership of UNGC, which offers international principles to create a collective development culture within the ever-competitive business world, is based on voluntary demands.
