Yüksel has succeeded in taking part in the Doha Metro Project for which many international companies have been competing. Doha Metro will be the 7th project of Yüksel in Qatar. The Project will constitute a section of the Qatar Rail Programme, which is the biggest investment of Qatar in railway and metro systems.

“Red Line South Elevated & At Grade Metro” of Qatar is awarded to the partnership including Yüksel. The partners of Yüksel in the Project are FCC (Spain), Archirodon (Greece) and Petroserv (Qatar).

The Project covers the design and construction of elevated viaducts of 5.8 km in total, at grade line of 0.4 km and 3 no. of metro stations (2 no. elevated, 1 no. at grade) namely QEZ (Qatar Economic Zone), Barwa and Al Wakra.

Moreover, an underpass structure of approximately 1 km length and grading of the depot area of around 1 million m2 are also included in the scope. The metro line will be constructed along the busy streets of Doha and Al Wakra.

The duration of the Project will be 31 months while the total value of the Project is QR 2.38 billion (USD 654 million).
