Muratlı 85th Year of The TBMM and National Independence Dam and HEPP is located in the Black Sea Region and like the Borçka Dam and HEPP undertaking of Yüksel Construction, was also realized by the international consortium members. Muratlı Dam and HEPP is a rock fill type with upstream face asphalt coating and is built 44 km. away from the Artvin City. The dam is designed to produce 442.12 GWh of power annually, and its crest length is 438 m., while the total fill volume is 1,981,000 m³, installed capacity is 2 x 57.5 = 115 MW. It is Francis vertical axis type and the electro-mechanical and hydromechanical works are undertaken by Austrian firms Va Tech Elin, Va Tech Voest, Verbundplan, Voith Sulzer while civil construction is carried out by Yüksel - Strabag and Temelsu.
